Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine is an official local preliminary competition for young women ages 14-28 under the Miss America Opportunity.

About Us

The Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Scholarship Program is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization provided to Klamath, Lake, Jackson and Deschutes counties by the Women’s Scholarship Foundation of Klamath County. We offer scholarships to every young woman who competes in our program, and since 2022 alone, we’ve given away over $100,000 in scholarships and in-kind donations. Every participating delegate in our local program also receives a guaranteed scholarship, whether she places or not!

Our program is led by a volunteer Board of Directors—these are unpaid roles—but because of these passionate and committed individuals, and through the generous support of our community and sponsors, the Miss Klamath County Organization has remained a beacon of opportunity for local young women for decades. Through our program, each delegate also becomes an active volunteer in her community through local fundraising and charity events, her personal Community Service Initiative (CSI), and numerous other appearances she gets to attend through additional partnerships/collaborations we’re so grateful to have here locally.
