Hi, I'm Ksandra! I began my journey with the MKC-MCOS program in 2003 as a hostess. I had no idea what this would be like, but I brought my best friend along to keep me company! She may have been kicking and screaming! I soon fell in love with the program, and after two years of hostessing, I was asked to join the Board of Directors. I filled many positions and learned a lot.
I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of the Miss America Organization, where I could watch so many young women not only achieve their goals to obtain scholarships for higher education, but to see them grow in ways they never thought possible. They would sometimes walk into the room so scared and by the end, walk out tall, confident women! Helping these young women is more rewarding than I can explain. Throughout the years, I have had to step away, but always found my way back in some capacity. The sisterhood with the many women I have worked with in this program is something I hold close to my heart.
I grew up in Klamath Falls and raised my two boys here as well. They currently live in Springfield, and I visit them as often as possible! Spending time with my family and friends is very important to me! I also have the best dog in the world, Marley, who has navigated this crazy life with me for 7 beautiful years and counting. I often say that she rescued me! I have been in the financial industry for about 30 years, and volunteering is something I have been doing for many of those years and hold dear to my heart.
I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible, hiking, paddleboarding, biking or camping. I love the coast, taking Marley to the beach to watch her run her little legs off! I also enjoy cooking, trying new recipes and traveling. Being part of this program where I can touch the lives of so many young women is amazing. Building lasting friendships with not only the delegates, but the many women I have worked with in this program is something I hold very dear to me.
