Greetings! My pageant story began in 2013 when my daughter Grace ran in the Miss Klamath County/ Miss City of Sunshine Outstanding Teen competition. She was hooked! In seven years of competition she earned two titles, two trips to Miss Oregon and $14,000 in scholarships. I am forever grateful to the group of volunteers who supported her journey.

Moving from being a pageant mom to a volunteer board member was an easy decision for me. I wanted to be part of the group of other women who have volunteered for years to improve the educational opportunities and overall growth of young women in our county. I joined the board in September 2022.

I love developing relationships with people so this is a perfect fit for my background in early childhood education and family development programs. As a board member I have the opportunity to form relationships with our contestants and their families, fellow board members, and I help coordinate the schedule of events and appearances for titleholders, which really gets me into the community! I can share how the Miss America Opportunity has positively impacted my life as the parent of a contestant and titleholder.

My personal story includes being married to my husband (who is also Leslie) for 27 years, raising three daughters here in Klamath, and being a grandmother (Memaw) to five wonderful children from 18 to three years. I love gardening and reading all kinds of books!
